Swivel Chair

Several months back I was in a furniture store with a friend of mine who was picking out living room furniture for her new home and we stumbled upon something that totally changed our views on living rooms and entertaining! You see we found this great living room set that came with a great couch with recliners on both ends, a coffee table, two end tables, an entertainment center and this great thing called a swivel chair. Once we sat in the swivel chair we knew that she was going to need another one for her living room and she couldn’t have been more right.

The swivel chair is a rounded sort of chair that’s typically bigger than a normal living room chair and much more comfortable too! What makes a swivel chair so great is the fact that it can turn all the way around in a circle. That means that you don’t have to worry about making sure that the chairs are positioned in a way that will allow some one sitting in them to face the people on the couch to talk and still be able to face the TV to watch a movie or like in my house face the window to look out side!

Just after my friend got all of her new furniture in her new home I completely fell in love with the swivel chair and I now have two in my home as well. One of them is sitting near a large window in my living room where I like to sit and read some times. Before buying the swivel chair I was always frustrated when sitting there. Either I had to turn the chair around and then would have to move the heavy chair again when I was done reading or I couldn’t face out the window and watch the ducks get in and out of the creek as I flipped pages. It was a very frustrating situation for me. But now with the swivel chair I just sit down with my book and turn around and face the window, I can also spin around and see the rest of my living room! My second swivel chair is on the other side of the living room where you can turn to see the kitchen, the living room or the TV if you like and no furniture has to be moved around to do it!
